Configuration

Generated from strands_robots.core.knobs.describe() at build.

Every environment variable the package reads, read once at import. strands-robots doctor prints the same names with their live values.

variable default meaning
STRANDS_ROBOTS_HOME ~/.strands_robots Datasets, audit log, passkeys and caches live under here.
STRANDS_MESH_BACKEND 'zenoh' zenoh (default), loopback or mhs (the mesh rides MHS_BROKER).
STRANDS_MESH_ENDPOINTS (empty) Explicit Zenoh endpoints; empty means LAN multicast discovery.
STRANDS_MESH_NAMESPACE 'strands'
STRANDS_MESH_PSK (empty) Pre-shared key for envelope signing; empty disables signing (LAN trust-on-first-use).
STRANDS_MESH_OVERRIDE_CODE (empty) Required to clear a latched fleet e-stop.
STRANDS_MOTION_ALLOW (empty) Unattended-motion allowlist for the tool layer: verb|robot entries or *.
STRANDS_DASH_DEV_AUTH (empty) Bypass passkeys for local development; reported on /api/auth/status.
MUJOCO_GL (empty) Empty means the engine picks: egl on Linux, the default context on macOS.
MHS_BROKER 'inproc://strands-robots' The Model Hardware Standard broker (the SDK's own variable): inproc://, nats://, zenoh://, mqtt://.
MHS_SECURITY_MODE (empty) The SDK's gate mode on a networked broker: off / shadow / enforce (its default; needs MHS_TRUST_BUNDLE).
STRANDS_MHS_ALLOW_INSECURE (empty) Mount and connect to a networked MHS broker without credentials; passed explicitly to both halves.

Secrets (STRANDS_MESH_PSK, STRANDS_MESH_OVERRIDE_CODE) are reported by doctor as set or empty, never echoed.
