Install¶
Python 3.12 or newer. The base package depends on numpy only; every backend is an extra.
python3 -m pip install "strands-robots[sim]" # MuJoCo + robot assets + mp4 writer
python3 -m pip install "strands-robots[sim,lerobot]" # + every policy lerobot ships
python3 -m pip install "strands-robots[sim,feetech]" # + the SO-100/101 serial wire
python3 -m pip install "strands-robots[all]" # everything that installs on a laptop
Until 1.0.0 is on PyPI (PyPI serves 0.5.x, the previous library) install from source; the extras are the same:

Check what is present:
JSON: for every extra ok or the packages it is missing, and the value of every knob.
python3 -c "import strands_robots" on a bare venv imports nothing heavy.
